Private Extension Snapshots

Only after you check confirmation and click Save does the extension send the current listing's public URL, item ID, marketplace, currency, title, price, identifiable Full and stock status, rating, review count, cumulative sold label and observation time to MeliSeller. Unknown fields remain empty. Browsing history, seller cookies, passwords and marketplace tokens are not uploaded. Your license and device ID are used for server-side authorization.

Snapshots support your private listing history and are not added to public examples. Each listing retains up to 90 recent observations. Deleting a listing removes its snapshots from the live database; backups follow the system backup retention policy. Background collection and notifications are not available.

Private Search Samples

A separate search-page confirmation and Save sends the public keyword, page URL without tracking parameters, marketplace, currency, result label, observation time and up to 50 loaded products' public URLs, titles, page positions, prices, stars, review counts and visible Full badges. Store reports, orders, browsing history, cookies and login credentials are not uploaded. Samples belong only to the saving account, are not shared with other users, and do not enter public examples or marketplace-wide statistics.

Up to 30 snapshots per keyword, 100 per account and 90 days; manual saves only. Deleting a sample in My market samples removes it from the live database; account deletion removes its samples. Uninstalling does not delete saved server samples. Backups follow their separate retention policy.

Local Extension Work and Opt-in Diagnostics

Private cloud sync is off by default. After consent and an explicit first upload, scenarios, costs, projects, tags, notes, test stages and user-reported actuals upload; subsequent saves sync while the workspace is open. Turning sync off stops uploads, not existing cloud copies. Data is account-isolated and server-encrypted, not end-to-end encrypted. Up to 10 historical versions are retained. Export or delete live work and history in the extension or account; an empty revision marker remains to prevent stale overwrites. Backups have separate retention. Failures and conflicts do not imply successful sync. Uninstalling does not delete cloud work.

Without cloud sync enabled, costs, projects, tags, decision notes and templates stay only on extension-owned pages and in local extension storage. Work is separated by License Key; a shared operating-system account is not a security boundary. Uninstalling deletes local work. You can back up, restore and delete it; backups contain private costs and must be protected.

Diagnostics are off by default. Opting in sends only a fixed event name, extension version and marketplace code, not products, full URLs, costs, notes, licenses, emails or installation IDs. Each installation samples at most once per day, event and site. The server stores 30-day aggregates, not personal journeys. Opting out stops uploads and deletes local counters; anonymous aggregates cannot be individually identified for deletion. Necessary security logs may record request IPs separately.

The optional product study has separate consent, off by default; anonymous diagnostics consent never enables it. A random study credential links fixed feature events, version, marketplace and server receipt times. Only its hash is stored server-side, without account, license, product or cost data. This is pseudonymous, not anonymous. It measures first value after consent, reuse and meaningful return on UTC day +7, not actual payment. Consent expires after 30 days without renewal; expired live records are deleted by hourly cleanup. Opting out immediately stops recording and requests deletion of the cohort and its events. Offline deletion retains a deletion credential and retries every 30 minutes while the browser runs or on the next workspace open, with pending status shown. Opt out and confirm deletion before uninstalling; unreachable records still expire. Backups follow their separate retention policy.
